Nutrigo lab mass bodybuilding
As a growing number of people around the world lose their jobs and children can’t afford to go to school, I realized something I never quite understood about myself, and that was my physique. As a full-time student, dad and wine curator, I am often on the go, and it becomes difficult to find time to also find time to work on my physique.
I took the opportunity at Nutrigo to jump on the bike which our trainer Lindy Cuddy taught me, and cycling proved to be very motivating, especially as I began watching Youtube and following my workouts.
Learning from Lindy
As I was riding I discovered Lindy’s live online classes, which took place on Saturday mornings at noon Pacific Time in Vancouver. It was interesting to see Lindy train her studio’s clientele every week, and I wanted to learn as much as I could from her.
When I started training with Lindy it was not the most enjoyable way to work out, but after I really got into it and she introduced me to Visual and Manual Ride, which is how she trains. It was amazing to see the finished product develop from that weekend in her studio. Lindy talked about her ideas of making every session unique, but I quickly realized I can create the same workout at home, but I would be doing it at the intensity and pace I want to be doing the workout.
But the amazing thing about Visual and Manual Ride (VMD) is that once you have been trained in it, you can just jump into the habit of doing different workouts at home. If you notice yourself getting stronger after each session, this is so wonderful. Each workout was not the same though, and as my muscles began to grow stronger and fitter, I felt myself get progressively faster. After three months of training, I was able to jump into my diet, getting stronger and faster every week, increasing my metabolism.
Nutrigo
I got back into my university classes after having completed the live classes from the morning, and I started feeling amazing after the first class. I was able to go home and start lifting weights for the next two weeks. I had a mission to get back into shape, and fortunately, I didn’t regret going to Lindy.
Liking what I’m doing
My body composition is more rounded, and the extra weight I’m working with is starting to show in my physique. As my body composition becomes rounder, I’m able to add extra muscle and bulk, due to the strength I’m able to gain.
After my first few months of training, it became more and more obvious to me that this weight lifting business I had invested a lot of time and energy into, was starting to pay off. I believe in my own abilities and passion for training, and how much I can still benefit from this business.
Every workout was a little different, but the fact of the matter is I continued to like what I was doing because I really like lifting weights. While I can’t promise you will, it is possible for me to trust what I can achieve. I’m pretty confident now that my muscles are the result of my work and dedication from gaining greater strength and size than I had prior to starting training.
Lifestyle
As I now have more body fat than I have ever had before, I’m not as fat anymore. No matter how hard I’m pushing myself, every one of my muscles is more rounded and proportioned. I’m no longer the same person who did heavy weight lifting before I started training and now I know that I have to utilize all my strength. I’m not sure if it will happen overnight, but I’m pretty confident that my weightlifting has improved, the workouts I do are more challenging, and the strength in my muscles is much deeper now.
The whole reason for me being in weightlifting was to not only strengthen my muscles but also to get my body a little skinnier. This is something I struggle with in terms of my body’s general appearance, and my diet. I don’t want to lose any weight, but since I’m training and lifting weights regularly, I have less body fat on my body. So, instead of shedding pounds, I’m gaining it.
Coming from a family that likes to lose weight and give our bodies a facelift, I have yet to take that route as of now. However, I really like what I’m doing with my body, and with the confidence, I gain by doing it, I’m slowly becoming more and more confident with myself.
